Solar Asset Coordinator (m/f/n)

The Role:

We are looking for Solar Asset Coordinator who can work within a dynamic and high performing environment. Reporting to the Solar Asset Manager for the Southern QLD region the Solar Asset Coordinator (Southern QLD) is a key leadership position that is responsible for supporting the asset management/operations team by supervising and overseeing the solar farm (s), ensuring all contractual responsibilities scope of work requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising closely with management to ensure all contractual responsibilities of assigned solar farms as well as work performed on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

Asset Management:

  • Supervising and overseeing the solar farm(s), ensuring that the scope of work requirements are met, reviewing progress and liaising closely with management
  • Managing the interface between clients, the solar farm asset, international internal resources, subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders such as investors, developers, grid operator, consultants, suppliers, authorities, etc.
  • Monitoring and controlling/analysing the technical performance of the assets as required via SCADA and interfacing systems
  • Monitoring and reporting of operational KPIs and analyse data to identify trends and implement measures accordingly
  • Planning, creating and organising onsite workflow and annual operation plans utilising the ENcome CMMS system
  • Continuously improving maintenance activities and operational processes
  • liaising with the client, other professionals, visitors, and members of the public
  • coordinating team members
  • managing plant, spares, equipment, vehicles, site inventory and warranty claims
  • selecting tools and materials
  • monitoring alarms and performance of the plant and equipment
  • negotiating supply and subcontractor contracts as well as securing permits and licences
  • controlling site budgets and costs for the solar farm(s)
  • corrective issues reviewed and communicated and coordinated in a timely manner

Contract Management:

  • Managing the O&M contract for the assigned solar farms from a technical and commercial perspective
  • Delivering the Scope of Work according to the contract
  • Identifying billable and non-billable parts of ENcome’s services
  • Instructing accounting department on correct invoicing according to contract
  • Preparing supporting documentation for invoicing

Documentation:

  • Documentation, folder configuration and data storage, in consistent and intuitive manner

Interface function / Direct reporting lines:

  • Continuous reporting 
  • Working with Solar Asset Manager in delivering services
  • Working with team members, Regional Managers and Site Technicians of the assigned solar farm(s)
  • Including training in plant management tools used by ENcome (e.g. CMMS, Accounting, etc.)
  • Supervise, liaise and support technical services for delivery of additional services for the solar farm(s)
  • Liaising with the client, other professionals, visitors, and members of the public
  • Development and maintain good team dynamics
  • Implementation of Performance Management measures where necessary using tools provided by ENcome Australia Management for direct reporting lines

Workplace Health & Safety: 

  • Ensure project using Encome WHS processes
  • Support Incident investigations and reviews
  • Support, coordinate and review audit of WHS processes

Training:

  • Keeps an updated level of knowledge in their area of expertise by ongoing trainings

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Tertiary engineering degree or Relevant Trade Certificate preferred. Commercial education with relevant technical experience acceptable
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Relevant safety certifications

Experience:

  • Experience in organisational management
  • Experience working with trades, technicians and capability to interface with clients
  • Experience in the field of and passion for renewable energies, preferably large-scale solar photovoltaics installations
  • Proven experience to efficiently define and manage tasks of a maintenance plan
  • Experience within institutional investor environments including direct customer interaction
  • Have a demonstrated understanding of contracts and contractual obligations
  • Experience in performance analysis of power assets

Skills: 

  • Ability to communicate complex technical as well as commercial topics across all levels of a corporation from board room settings to on-site talks
  • Ability to plan and coordinate work and resources
  • Ability to respond to and diagnose plant issues/faults
  • Using software to manage and record site and project work
  • Use SCADA to review alarms and performance of plant
  • Ability to work with site technicians, contractors and trades assistants (TA)
  • Microsoft software – Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to make us of IT equipment (software and hardware) to connect to solar farm components
  • Ability to use software tools and methodologies to analyse plant performance to support root cause analysis
