The project fits the already existing hub established around the region stretching over the solar farms in Emerald, Rugby Run (Moranbah), Barcaldine and Longreach, all within a driving distance of four hours of each other. Due to these relatively short distances, ENcome - on the basis of its comprehensive technical knowledge and its corresponding high service level - is in an excellent situation to service the solar farms with rapid reaction times on site as well as high yield and availability numbers.
ENcome is delighted about the recent commencement of their services. “The challenge on this site is the ongoing commissioning, special grid connection agreements and very short time frame in which the start of services had to take place”, says Sigi Psutka, Managing Director of ENcome Australia, in charge of Technical Operations. The solar farm is connected to the Ergon Energy network and ENcome is responsible for the full range of O&M services including but not limited to drone thermography, vegetation management and the operation and maintenance of a 66/33kV substation.
